Greensoft Pequi demonstrates emulsifying properties when added in high concentrations, greater than or = 20%. As a co-emulsifier or for emulsion stabilization, the addition of Greater than or = 2% is recommended, depending on the structure of the formulation.
The product has a high amount of oleic acid, a medium concentration of palmitic acid and low concentrations of palmitoleic, linoleic, linolenic, arachidic and gadolenic acids.
Pequi oil is rich in antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compounds. The oil extracted from the pulp is rich in vitamin A and E, and has aphrodisiac properties. It is also used to prepare soap due to its chemical composition.
